SALARY

Rehearsal Pay: $16/hour 
Show Pay: $80/show

(Note: Actors have the option to be a W-2 employee or 1099 employee. Payment will occur every 2 weeks.)

 ABOUT THE SHOW

54

54 is the newest high-concept entertainment experience from Renaissance Theatre Company. Guests are encouraged to dress in theme (or not, we don't judge) and step into a re-imagination of the iconic nightclub from the 1970s. The live sound of modern disco fills the air. A colorful dance floor is open (when a cast of professional dancers isn't performing). High-end cocktails and mocktails are on-the-ready. Later, audiences can continue the party with 54 After-Hours, an elevated themed nightclub experience, also featuring nightly entertainment and a more classical 70s disco soundscape. Dress up, step out. See. Be Seen. 

NOSERATU

Nosferatu is back at Renaissance Theatre Company! We are once again seeking a diverse cast of performers for this immersive vampire experience. Nosferatu occurs throughout the Ren's 15,000 square foot building. Patrons follow the performers from room to room, where elaborate scene scapes provide backdrops for varied vampire stories. Sexy, provocative, creepy, high-energy, the story is told mostly through dance, expertly choreographed by Kathleen Wessel and Assistant Choreographer Adonus Mabry.

MORE INFO:

• 54 is a brand new, original piece that will be created with the cast and crew in rehearsals. The Ren is a highly collaborative environment, and performers should be prepared to workshop and experiment new ideas in rehearsal. 

• We are also casting 54 After-Hours, an elevated nightclub experience. We'd like the performers from 54 to also participate in the after hours event, but may also cast these separately. 54 After-Hours begins at 10:30 PM and will last late into the evening. 54 will have one performance at 8:45 PM, and an earlier show (7 PM) will be added for busy nights.

• This year, performances for Nosferatu will begin as early as 6 PM and will go late into the evening/early morning hours, with multiple performances each evening.

STYLE NOTES/SEEKING
54:

- Musically and theatrically, the style is modern-disco. 

- Vocalists who can sing in a modern-disco/pop genre and dancers with experience in multiple styles.

- Actors will create the atmosphere in various roles and will participate in the narrative that is mostly told through movement and dance.

- Please note that the subject matter and performances are sometimes sexual in nature, and there will be various degrees nudity for some cast members (based on comfort level).

 

TO SUBMIT:

Please submit a headshot and resume as well as a dance reel, or short video of a dance performance showcasing technique & style. Singers/Musicians, please submit a 1970's style song. Actors, please submit a monologue that focuses on storytelling, preferably in one of the environments of the shows above. (YouTube or Vimeo link preferred.)
